R56 spare bulb kit

I'm getting my new Mini tomorrow I had a spare bulb kit with my previous Mini - it was a nice little box with spares for all the bulbs (in fact I still have it but I don't suppose the bulbs are the same!). Do MINI do one? I just phoned the dealer and my saleschap didn't know so he's going to check. Also - I'm totally ignorant about the Xenon headlights (but looking forward to being able to see in the dark!) - are the spares for them very expensive?

I tried to get a spare bulb kit a couple of weeks agofor my R56 but apparently these haven't been realeased yet. I still have a spare build kit for my R53 and was told by the dealer that these bulbs would be ok.

As for Xenons I have not had to replace them (yet!)

Ring the parts department, not the sales guy

Xenon bulb failure is nowhere near as common as in halogen lights as there is no tungsten filament to burn out or break.

Thanks! They got back to me and said it's £15 for the set - but I think I'll check and see if my old set is any good.

Aldi were doing a generic set recently for 3,99 ish H4 version will get you out of a hole if you're worried abiut changing a bulb while out or abiding by european laws

else, should one go (unlikely) you can get a replacement from Mikey at newminispares or the dealer/ online quickly so why bother with a kit ...
