Offline | And it's goodbye from me... Hi Guys, The day I've dreaded since being a MINI owner has arrived, I'm saying goodbye to the brand ![]() I've decided to trade my MINI Cooper S in for an Audi TT quattro Sport. I've experienced so many changes in my personal life over the past few months (some good, some not so good) I thought it was time I had a change of car to cap it all off. I've always wanted a TT and I found the perfect one for me last week and decided to bite the bullet... I hope I've made the right decision. I just wanted to say thanks for all your help over the past few years, I've learnt an awful lot. I'm going to miss being part of the MINI community but I will be logging in here just as regularly to keep my toe in the water. You never know, I may be back. Richard. ![]() |

Offline | Before I got the Cooper S I was looking at a TT but they were a bit pricey at the time. What one you going for then? The 180 brake or the 225, or the 3.2 quattro? I used to have an A3 1.8T Sport and those engines are spot on. |

Offline | Very nice my parents have a MINI and a TT 225 1.8T Quatro Convertible. Very nice car but they don't drive it like its got 225bhp. I drove them in my Cooper S and they were both wowed by it and I told them its only 170bhp compared to their TT its nothing. Good Luck Richard. The TT is a very lovely car! Thanks, Laura x |

Offline | I'm getting the TT quattro Sport. It was the lightened limited edition (made about 1000) and has the 240ps 1.8T engine, no back seats, no spare wheel, no parcel shelf, Recaro bucket seats and two-tone paintwork (red body, black roof and mirrors). I'll be going to get it today so getting well excited now. And I'll definitley still linger around here, I've always been a fan of Mini/MINI from when I was a child. I'll post pictures and let you know what it's like asap. ![]() |

| MINI2 Master | i have to say i was nealry tempted to change a few weeks ago after i went to the Ring in my mates TT, he has an S-line special edition, last of the line one so has all the toys, His is REVo'd and running 270Bhp and goes wuite nice. Plus i love the 1.8T engine and know it inside out, makesure you get yourself sorted ona REVo Stage 3 remap, Miltek full exhasut and you'll have a very competent car. The only thing that goes agaisnt the phase one TT is the Golf Mk4 Chassis, the newer one is completly different |

Offline | Excellent! I forgot all about that one, sounds like a blinding motor, and the Audi 1.8T is a sure fire winner everytime, totally bombproof, and excellent for modding with remaps. Definately make sure you post pics ASAP. I know how exciting it is getting a new car, only bought my S 6 weeks ago or so! Only issue I had with Audi ownership is that on the forums people were so smug, so make sure you take some of our MINI friendliness and charm over there! |

Offline | I nearly bought one of those TT Sports and borrowed one for a day, but didn't find it exciting enough tbh; couldn't really feel that it had the claimed 240bhp and so didn't want to spend £28k on a new one. Great car though and presumably down at the £20k mark now. Once you get into the seats you'd best be prepared to stay there for a while though, 'cos they're proper bucket Recaros... you can't get in-and-out that easily! |

Offline | Hi Guys, Here you go, a few pictures of my Audi TT quattro Sport. I absolutely love the car. I took the Cooper S in on Friday to part-ex it and I was very sad to see it go. But after a few miles behind the wheel of the TT I knew I'd made the right decision. The power of this thing is awesome, the most powerful car I've driven on the road. Hope you like it ![]() Richard. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
