| Ex Mercedes boss drives a MINI - trade unions up in arms! Found in the online edition of the South German "Sueddeutsche Zeitung" daily newspaper: (Schrempp: Mini statt Mercedes Dicke Luft bei Daimler - Wirtschaft - sueddeutsche.de) Under the headline "Dicke Luft bei Daimler" - "Trouble at Daimler" comes a fairly long article about the fact that the ex-boss of Mercedes Benz, Rainer Schrempp, 63, got a MINI as a birthday present from his wife. Not only is he the ex-boss, the wife happens to be a PA at the Mercedes headquarters, so there seems to be a lot of anger about such "illoyal behaviour" - how dare she buy him/ how dare he drive a car made by a company of arch rival BMW!   |
