Windscreen Wipers - help!!!!!

Very quick question, which way do the windscreen wipers go?

Is it: 18 inch = passenger and 19 inch = drivers

or

19 inch = passenger and 18 inch = drivers

Can you not check with your old OEM ones as they should have a spoiler as its called on the driver side, or just try them both ways.

For the R53 according to the Bosch book in Halfords it's meant to be

19 inch = passenger and 18 inch = drivers

I bought them like this but I think the passengers side is too long.

obviously then the R53 and R56 are different lengths. when you say passenger side is too long, is it touching the end of the windscreen ?

It's not touching but is further across the windscreen because it's longer, it seems to not curve to the shape of the screen as well, so the end of it seems to ride higher across the edges of the screen where it curves most. I'll have a look at the old one and see if it is the same length or not when I get home.
