I'm thinking it might be the 'new' shape convertible...or at least that's what I'm hoping!

re the mini diesel engine - did you see 5th gear recently comparing the cooper with the cooper D?

they worked out on average driving on average roads etc, it would take you 6 years to get your additional money back that you've spent on the D car, diesel, servicing etc...

so there wasn't much point in having the D especially when you consider the performance not being as good as the petrol...

Dont agree with that.

If you see here... http://www.mini2.com/forum/2nd-gen-m...er-driven.html

and here... http://www.mini2.com/forum/mini-coop...er-driven.html

I didnt like the Petrol and thought the Diesel was so much better in many ways! Its all personal choice.

And i personally think a Dooper drop top would be a good idea, it would open up the car to more people who currently wont buy the cabrio as its only petrol
