MINI2

Hi,

I recently bought a debadged '02 Mini One (my first car), but a mechanic who has just taken a look at it has told me it has a Cooper engine.

How do you tell if your car is a Cooper or a One? Is it better to have a Cooper engine? Is it common to have a different engine in and does it make any difference?

Any advice given would be much appreciated.

A ONE is just a 'toned down' Cooper anyway

90bhp v 115bhp

The plate under the bonnet (on the drivers side) will tell you if its a ONE or Cooper

All Petrol MINI apart from R56's have the same engine, So a ONE has the same as a Cooper and the S has the same just with a super charger on it !

If it was a cooper it would say it ont he side strips of the car when you open the door !

As well as Jo said under the Bonnet

I have a One off Mini One.. She's had a bit of tunage and has whipped a few 'real' Coopers into touch
