Hey, i am nearly 17 and have been crazy about minis since the 1st gen came out in 2000. im 17 in feb and i am getting a mini one but i want the car for the 08 registration. is it too early to order it? my dad asked a couple of months ago and they said it would take 3-4months for delivery. is this still the case? any help would be appreciated!
Lead times are different at every dealer, as they are given an allocation for each model. Busier garages may have their allocation all sold for a few months, whereas may have spare build slots available.
Ideally, you need to find a dealer who can give you a build slot in february, that way it should be at the dealers around the beginning of march. Remember, a car can arrive at the dealers early, and they then just wait until 1st march to register it
well we will see what happens my dad gets back from his business trip on sunday so were going to the dealer on monday! i will keep you updated if i order it or not and the specsooooooo excited about it!!!!!!!!!
You won't have to decide on your final spec straight away - about 1 week prior to build you car will go into 'spec lock' after which you can't change it. But if you get the urge to add something in the meantime, you can do
yeah originally i was gonna order it in december because i thought the 08 registration was in april but i found out it was march and im tooo excited i cant wait till december so were going to see about it on monday! if its too early i could maybe say i just want it for a certain date and they could arrange it maybe as my dad is a good customer with bmw and the mini garage and bmw garage are together.
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!,how weird, i have loved MINIs sooooooooooo much ever since 2000, and am going to be getting a new MINI One when i pass my test too,its my birthday at the start of December so im amazingly excited,the thing is, i havent ordered mine yet !
