Hi Slider,

The kit relates to the white marks seen on the convertible roofs directly over the rear windows. I'm not sure what the kit actually consisted of though.

If your car in inside warranty and is showing these white marks, you'll be able to claim a new roof under warranty through your dealer. Unfortunately though, the marks will come back eventually

Cars built post 07/05 aren't so badly affected by this as they incorporated a chassis mod to keep the roof still when folded, thus preventing the white wear-running marks. This can't be retrofitted to older cars though.

my car is just over 3 years old now my white marks are only slight now as i had a new canvas fitted at 18 month then a new mechinism at 30 months after the sun roof cable snaped & twisted the frame shortly after that a ram failed & both where replaced. The hinge for the rear boot opening frame ( near the trim gap) snaped that has been replaced. hopefully that will give me a few years before i have any more problems.
It's just that when i saw this offical white marks kit i thought it might be worth a look for maintainance reasons...
