Hi Pierre,

Are you looking for US/Canada spec side markers, on the fender arches?

Mikey from NewMiniStuff (a vendor here) sells them.

Bonjour Pierre, and bienvenue a MINI2!

As MiniVee said above, Mike from NewMINIstuff sells a kit to install the side marker lights. Here is a link to the kit on his site: NewMINIStuff.com

Happy MINIing

Jon

Are these legal in the UK? Would a car pass an MOT with them on?

I know Paul M made a comment in a thread that mentioned them not too long ago and he wasn't sure whether having red lights on the rear arches was legal, hence the GP having orange on the rear as well.

Which is kinda my understanding as well, until I saw a UK Volvo with red on the rear and orange on the front?

I think it was in a thread where a US Member was asking what he has to do to make his Mini (US) legal in the UK.

Tom.

Answer to my own question.

I'm sure that some MOT stations won't know?

But this link confirms they are ok.

Tom.

In the states the amber at the front and red at the rear is so you can Identify which way the car is travelling in, at a junction, so I guess if someone has jumped a light or something you know which way to head to take avoiding action. Unless they are going backwards I guess

They just add a little bit of extra side lighting for junctions really.
