Offline | Tyres As you may know if you follow my Threads I placed an order for "Percey" my New Mini a few weeks ago. Last night I went to fianlise my order - colour, assessories etc. I'm still not sure about the wheel size. I love 17" alloys but have been told by my dealer said that they cost about £40 a corner more than 16" alloys. How much are you all paying for Tyres in the UK for various wheel sizes and how many miles are you getting out of a set. I do alot of miles each year and am un sure if I can justify the additional expense. Many Thanks Maria |

Offline | I had 16" wheels on my car and I drive quite hard and I took them off at about 13,000 miles to fit 17" wheels. The 16" still have tread and will do more miles yet Drive wise I still prefer the 16" wheel set up its much nicer and more relaxed But thats just my opinion and others may disagree I would not let the price be a factor cos you have got a while to save for the next set and Tyres are getting cheeper all the time Have Fun |
