JCW Accessories

Hi all,

I was just after some opinions really. I have a Standard Cooper S and I want to know what you all think as far as JCW accessories are concerned. I only have a set of JCW mats and the chrome bonnet scoop (I think thats JCW?) at the moment but was looking at some more interior parts, etc. Only thing is I am getting really paranoid that people will think I'm a loser as my cars not a got the JCW tuning kit, and they might think I'm making it out to be something its not. I obviously wouldn't stick the badges on the boot and grille, but I have just bought some JCW wheel caps and I don't know whether to just sell them on?

Sorry if this sounds like a stupid thread but I don't wanna look like a fool!

Cheers

Mike

I had the JCW Carbon Fibre Scoop, Boot Handle and Mirror Caps on my MCS. They looked cool.

Placing Works badges on cars without JCW Tuning Kits or Works plaques on non-JCW wheels is tacky but there's nothing wrong with fitting interior and exterior JCW accessories on any MINI.

The Works plaques come standard on 18" JCW wheels but they're shown as replacement parts on RealOEM for smaller OEM wheels like the R85's on your MINI.

The Works wheel plaques are pretty inconspicuous. I wouldn't put them on non-JCW wheels but I have the JCW Engine Tuning Kit on my MCS and chose not to have the Works badges fitted

Badges?!?

As MINIAC has said no problem with parts, don't have to have the engine kit. I have JCW
brakes and steering wheel. I personally wouldn't put JCW caps on my wheels but keep
them it will only be so long before you fall under the spell and fit some JCW wheels .

Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help
but smile when you shove them down the stairs

I have alot of the JCW carbon fibre parts fitted to my Cooper although its not a JCW Mini. Yet!
I am very impressed with the quality of the parts and would recommend them.

I agree with everyone, putting the Works extras on is fine, my other ½ has the chequered mats in her MINI, not because they are Works just because they suite her MINI .

I wouldn't personally do the badges if it wasn't a Works, I have to agree with "MINIAC" on this one, I would probably leave them off anyway even if I had a Works / Works-kit.

Plus it isn't worth chancing some young badge collector taking a fancy to them and attacking your car with a large screwdriver, causing loads of damage to the paintwork .

Mine's the one on the left.
