TLC can only be purchased within a very short time of purchase, it's written in the user manuals that come with the car. I'll check when I go out there later and post it, unless someone else finds out first.

It cant be!!!!

Dealers will kick non TLC cars for between £600 an £1000.

I have seen cars make it to 13k before the first service, never as high as that one but it all seems to stack up, it just needs to be the right price in my mind

...and to recap... thankyou all, the car now does NOT appear to 'stack up' - it's 3800 miles overdue for it's service, and 96 miles to go for the brake fluid.
Oil black bright, 14,800 on the clock, seller's comment about 500 miles to go to service is a complete lie. Minus 3800 on the dash display on ignition switch on.
BMW say it's still covered by warranty (will be 3 years old early 2009) as long as I get it serviced when I buy it, local main dealer says the same thing... am I going for it - NO CHANCE!
Nice recaros tho'

The search continues...

Arrrrgggghhhhh. And breathe.

Dont be so hasty, my JCW was 4500 overdue for its second service and fuid change, and it had TLC!!!! No idea why but i guess the previous owner did not realies it had TLC.

I booked the car into my local mini dealer and got the service and fluid change done, service indicator reset.

The car is mint with no issues what so ever.

Why walk away from a nice car especially if you can get it for a good price, just because its a few 1k miles overdue, that really means nothing.

Its really all about the price.

More food for thought
