| MINI2 Regular | MINI One exhaust trim..... hi!! Merry Christmas! i bought a 51' mini one for my 17th birthday last month, and have put on a few bits on, cooper s alloys, clear lences, grills etc....but now im after a exhaust trim for the exhaust. Im told by mini that the cooper one doesnt fit as the end of the exhaust is like ribbed and curves outwards. Does anyone know where i can get a trim to fit my exhaust????? Cheers Lewis. |

| Miss Independent | Are you talking about the trim that looks like a Coke Can? If so, these can be fitted, but you need to cut the rolled end off of the exhaust, so that the trim can fit onto the exhaust. If you search there is a thread about it somewhere, which will help. |

| MINI2 Master | Not sure about the Coke can tip, but in the accessories brochure you can pick up from your local dealer, there is a chrome exhaust tip. Either way, you'll need to cut the rolled lip off the end of your Mini One exhaust. You need to be careful of your bumper while cutting, apparently. Part number for Mini One and Mini One Convertible is 82 12 0 141 759. The Cooper's part number is different as the exhaust diameter is different on the Cooper. Cost is £20. I'll be fitting mine on Saturday. I'll post pics when it's done. Oli |

Offline | Yes! they're only about £20+ from the main dealer, the difference in the exhaust diameters is, MINI ONEs are approx 5cm dia and the COOPERs are approx 5.5cm, they are also slightly different in appearance (the chrome ends), on the MINI ONEs you do have to cut the rolled up end of the exhaust off to fit a chrome end on, the COOPER ones (exhaust end) you can get to fit a MINI ONE but it does take a little messing about (due to the 5mm difference) and if you're not into fiddling, most people just say they don't fit or they don't fit properly .As "dividking" says the COOPER one looks like the base of a coke-can , so if you're doing a look-alike someone in the know will know the difference , left COOPER, right ONE .![]() ![]() ![]() Destined to live life £5 behind. | MINI2 Master | This gets more and more intriguing (well, intriguguing for someone like me anyway). The item in the accessories brochure (that I mentioned above) looks nothing like the one above. I ordered it and yesterday put it on my car and, to be honest, it looks a little chavvy to me. It's a larger diameter than a Coke can by about 10mm or so, but it does look too big for my liking. Of course, having now cut off my exhaust end I have a choice of living with it or trying to find a trim like the one in Randall Raines' post. It doesn't fit very snugly, either. It could work its way loose over time and it's easily removed by pulling. I've done a little searching on realoem.com and it looks like there's a different part number for the replacement exhaust for cars with the chromeline exterior option. I wish I'd known, as I would have had that part fitted rather than the standard when I got a new exhaust silencer. Does anyone know the part number for the Mini One chrome tailpipe? Oli |

Offline | I also recently fitted the latest type BMW Mini One exhaust trim and I was actually glad it is now at least the same size as the Cooper "Coke" can one and in my opinion looks much better but definitely not chavvy! It has not worked loose yet in 6 months of use either but it would have been nice to have a traditional grub screw type fixing to make sure. |
