Hi gang,

I've had some strange sounds under braking, so I jacked the car up today to take a look at my rear brakes.

The rotors/pads look fine, but when I went to spin the wheel there was a lot of resistance, it would not spin freely. The parking brake was disengaged.

I'm guessing I have a sticking parking brake?

Any thoughts?

I'm sure there are numerous posts on this. The wheels may not seem completely free as jacking the car up puts the handbrake cable under tension.

This may not be the same thing, but i had a similar problem with mine,
in the end it turned out to be the bearing that had gone???
