United-Kingdom Colour choice - help!

I've ordered a new Mini Cooper S but not sure whether to go for the dark silver or sparkling silver. Which one is a safer bet for resale later?Anyone have any ideas?

I'd go for Dark Silver. Sparkling Silver seems to be one of those hit or miss colours, but if you've seen one in the flesh and really like it then by all means go for it.

Ordered a Cooper S with Chili pack
Extras - panoramic sunroof, multi-function steering wheel, 17" crown spoke wheels, auto aircon.
At the moment I've ordered it in Sp Silver with black roof but still not sure.....

My 'other' choice for my R56 was Dark silver it looks awesome...The reason i chose black was because nearly every MCS i see is Dark Silver!!! ive seen a couple of Cooper S in sparkling silver now and they look pretty good esp with the aero kit and JCW wheels.
Whichever you choose will look great

If easy resale is your main consideration (as you said in the original question), it has to be Dark Silver; it's such a known quantity and it is likely to stay in production for ever, while it's probably fair to assume that Sparkling Silver will be replaced by something else within a year or two (in much the same way as Indi Blue, Hyper Blue, Liquid yellow and Velvet Red came and went).

Personally, as long as the colour isn't going to be a major obstacle to resale, I wouldn't give resale any further thought and just go for the colour you like Sparkling Silver is much more unusual and interesting....

Given the choice, I would go for Dark Silver myself. My pal at work used to have a Cooper S in that colour, and it looked great
