| cook pass babtridge | i've recently gone the other way & traded a 54 plate cooper for a new mx5 so i'll be interested to hear your views on how they compare. i reckon the mx5 pulls better but feels less urgent than the mini due it being more refined, but it definately doesn't have the turn-in that the mini had. |

| MINI2 Newbie | Well yesterday went very smoothly and I love the car. The Runflat light and a 'bong' came on during the journey home so decided to check the tyre pressures and they were fine, so I reset the sensor and its not come back on. Maybe coz its not been on the motorway in a while? With regards to comparison to the MX5, the first thing is the weight, the mini feels like a tank, its so much more taught and solid. Not been on many country roads as yet so will see how it compares over time, feels great with Sports Suspension Plus and 17s though :-D |

| I miss my MINI | Ding noise could be cold weather warning. Runflat light probably came on due to cold but I would keep an eye on the pressure just to be sure. A bad tire would be something that you would want to quickly talk with the dealer about. The sooner the better so that they can't blame it on you. ![]() Global Moderator ![]() |
