hi guys,

im a bit of a noob here so please excuse me if this is a dumb question.

I'm looking to buy a mini cooper s (with a sunroof) and want one with a black roof if possible. From what i have read people seem to call the roof and mirror 'caps' when they are coloured different to the car. So does this mean they can be changed?

I've spotted a grey and a blue mini cooper s both with sunroof but neither had the black roof they just had the body coloured roof. Is it possible to retrofit the black roof caps?

I've never heard of roof caps, replacement mirror caps are available.
If you want to change the colour of your roof then you'll have to get it repainted

As Bonnie said, there is no such thing as a roof cap - the roof is sprayed the desired colour at the factory

You could have a vinyl wrap applied to the roof as a cheaper alternative to spraying
