Pure Silver Mini or normal garage for grille change/ bumper removal?

I am looking to get my lower grille changed to chrome i have the part and have been told the bumper needs to come off, should i go to Mini to have this done or is a normal garage ok? Can anyone recommend somewhere in Kent? i have been quoted £90 by mini btw does this about right?? Thankyou!

90 quid is about right, BMW will charge you an arm and a leg. At least!

You could get the fitting instructions and then get a normal garage to do it, try getting a quote first.

Front bumpers held on with 9 bolts and screws, its an easy enough to take of so local garage or someone you know could do it only takes a few minutes to off. Grill is just clipped in.

My MINI stealer took my bumper off to realign it after I hit a speed bump. It cost 200 quid so I suggest you go elsewhere!

Both parts of the lower grille (Chrome surround and chrome/painted/black grille bar) can be carefully levered /pulled off and replaced without removing the bumper, they are stuck on with strong tape, the outer also has some straight tabs to locate it in position. 10 minute job
