Electic Blue S Oxygen blue.

What does everyone think of Oxygen blue, now i think its OK but does anyone on here have one or got any pics, because its quite an interesting colour, as it looks different in diferent lighting.

I work at quite a big MINI dealer, and ever since oxygen blue come out weve barely sold any, we have ordered a few into the showroom or to test drive, but most people have hated the colour.

What do you think.

Thanks.

Not keen on oxygen blue myself much prefer the metallic blues - laser, electric etc. I think oxygen blue is a bit wishy washy looking
Having said that tho' I have yet to see one in the metal and am only giving my opinion based on the photos I've seen....

I'm quite partial to the old Indi Blue actually.

I'm not such a fan of Oxygen Blue. Having said that, if you're looking for an understated colour, it certainly ticks that box.

All the best,
Andrew.

I seem to recall this question being asked on here before. Perhaps try a search for more responses.
Oxygen Blue is not a colour I would ever choose - easily in the bottom 3 worst colours. Not that I have a problem with blue, as my Dooper is Lightning Blue.
I certainly wouldn't get Oxygen Blue with a matching roof. I think somebody on here had one with a black roof, and it looked ok. Even better with a few stripes I recall.
The fact that so few are sold suggests the colour is not popular (I was told Pepper White is most popular) and would lead me to worrying about resale value, or in fact whether anybody would want it at all in the future

The choice is yours

Oxygen blue looks great, but it looks its best with a roof in body colour. Mini E has one with black checks on the roof

I quite like Oxygen blue, actually, and think it is much nicer than Electric blue.

Am undecided over white vs black roof, but know that body colour roof is just not right!

Anyone who goes for Mustard Yellow must need their head testing, IMO!

I got an oxygen blue mini almost three months ago and have never regretted it. I walked into the dealership ready to order pepper white (with coordinating roof), but the minute I saw oxygen blue (with black roof), it just HAD to come home with me. It's the most beautiful color of car I've ever seen. The shade of blue seems to change depending on the light it is exposed to: it's medium-bright blue under the California sun, but at night it is a gorgeous dark turquoise.

It may be a non-conventional color, but the matte paint dials down the flashiness nicely. I honestly don't understand how those that love electric blue can dislike this color. Also, I believe that since it is a color that has limited production, the resale value will hold well.

I was stopped in the grocery store parking lot the other day and told that my car was so beautiful this stranger was "coveting" it! I admit that this color is not for everybody, and maybe it's the bravest among us that will proudly drive it everyday, but at least I know it's the color for me.

I haven't seen Oxygen Blue up close but I've seen a few MINIs around with that colour. Personally I like it. I was considering it for my R56 but found out it wasn't available for the S.

I commented on the other thread about this subject.

Not one of my fave colours, but neither do I hate it.

It's not so much the shade, it's just that I think it would be better as a metallic. The one in the pic looks good though, tricked up with the big wheels and graphics. On a MINI One with steel wheels, matching roof and so on it just looks a bit too plain.

Wish MINI would do a yellow similar to what Rover were doing up until their demise - Mellow Yellow is just a bit too 'mustardy' for me (but, again, I don't hate it!).

These type of colours always look good in California and the sunshine, even the shocking yellow. I could even imagine having such a colour out there.
Unfortunately in the UK the weather is a bit more dull, and I would personally avoid.

Good point.

Apart from one in Derek Woodmans showroom, the only other place I've seen an OB MINI in the flesh was in California on holiday (aka vacation!) last year. Big west coast tour so forgotten exact location, but I think it was in Los Angeles.

I've seen one like that kicking round my way, and I actually think it looks quite good - a true back to basics MINI. I like the design of the steel wheels, nice that they don't have plastic trims on them. And, unusual to see a plain MINI, as they are normally spec'd up!

I must admit I'm not a great fan of this colour but I think it does look better with a black or same colour roof than a white one. It's not a colour I feel contrasts well with white.
