Your lucky then... i got a call this morning saying the car is going into production so I will not be able to change anything on the car now and that from 1st March the prices are going to be going up which the salesman just found out about...

I have a few weeks to decide weather i want to wait or take delivery in Feb....

It is going to be a long 53 days for you as well then.. lol... let me know closer to the time if you have to pay the extra amount.. So i know weather to kick up a fuss or not...

Well ive had a quote for my finance now, and a price on my car, and the spec sheet of my new car has been amended to show any discount and part ex

I wont be paying any extra, not for anyone!

And anyway if the changes are from March (or week 10 as i read somewhere else) then surely our MINIs wont be part of this change (as they are being built this week) and shouldnt have the increase

Generally, price increases are indeed applied from a build date, not a registration date, and all cars built before that date, rtegardlerss of when they are finally registered, are unaffected.

Adit, it sounds to my like your dealer could be trying to cash-in on the price increase, so ask to see a copy of the letter from MINI detailing why the price has gone up and which cars are affected before agreeing to pay it.

this might be a stupid question but do the dealers always tell you when the car is away to go into production? i have ordered my MINI One for 1st march delivery too and havnt heard anythin bout it goin into production or price increase.

UK order forms do state in the Terms & Conditions that any increase in manufacturer's retail price that comes into effect before delivery has to be paid

Some do, some don't, it all depends on how good their customer service is.
