ss+ mechanical details?

well, i know i want an early cooper, looking to pay up to 7k, so a 01 or 02. It needs to be a chili pack car as having driven a pepper pack, i found it to be softer and less instant on turn in; it felt more woolly to me and understeery. I'm putting this difference down to sports plus susp. and the runflats on 16 in. wheels.

the questions i had really were to do with that; the ss+ vs. the ss on a pepper pack car for example. Does anyone know the mechanical makeup of the ss+ which gives it that extra stiffness? i.e is it down to JUST springs and dampers or are there also differences in anti roll bar thickness etc and bushing. I know this is very nitpicky but there is good reason; i have considered buying a very good pepper car and possibly retro fiting better suspension to get the same effect.

anyone?
