Sat Nav Navigation 3D Perspective view Update

ive seen these things on ebay that claim to change your factory sat nav from 2d to 3d view. has anyone bought one and if so do they work?



this is the one im thinking of buying item number: 270202943954 (didnt put link because i wasnt sure if ebay links were allowed). anyway it claims to work on the mini but i dont want to buy it if its going to knack up my sat nav.

so basically has anyone tried it (does it work?) and does anyone know if it will it work on my 53reg mini cooper s?

Don't buy on ebay, when you can simply download the software your self from simplymini i think the website is called and burn the nav update disk yourself.

First though you have to find out if you have a CD or DVD ROM drive for your Sat Nav.

A search on here should throw a few results up

More like a con.... You can get that software for free from several sites or from BMW and to be honest, he doesn't have the authority to sell it as it is BMW's intellectual property. I have even seen disks from Ebay not work and cause problems.

The links for the firmware are on the left hand side under the heading "Nav Files". The rest of the site is still under renovation (I've been playing too much with different software) and will eventually have WIKI's and such on how to update the nav.

For now, you are welcome to ask a question here and I will answer it the best I can.
