Its fantastic its 2 stories high, got a big lift, has about 50 used and new MINIs outside, and 13 can be put inside.

Now ive been to many MNI dealers and thereve all kinda been nice but normal, but at HJ chester, its sooooooo nice, they arange great launch events and runs, plus ALL the staff are really nice and kind too.

whats your dealer like.

Park Lane is the biggest!
Also I live 10 miles from that dealership, the Sales is good and know a few of the guys in there, but the Service from the HJ's @ Sealand is cruddy!
Also what runs do they organise?
The only launch event I went to was for the convertible and also the film at Cheshire oaks.
I have though probably been knocked off their mailing list!!!

I choose instead the exceptional service at Woodmans in Blackpool - even if it is a 120 mile round trip!

Anyone got any pictures of the huge Park Lane?

I agree!

Oh yes, those were the days, with all us Cestrians moaning about the service (or lack of) at HJ in Chester.

I think we've all had a run in with Wally the (lack of) service manager at the Sealand Road site.....what a character he was.

Fortunately I bought my second MINI (a MCSC) at another dealer , and since then purchased my 120d at a dealer who actually wanted my business.

I did call HJ a few weeks back to get them to quote for a oil change on the 120d, they only wanted £200 to do the work , compared to the £150 my supplying dealer wanted , so guess where I went. Some things never change.......

Looking at an E60 530d.....guess where I'll be buying it from.......yep, not HJ!

Strangely a couple of relatives with BMs won't cross HJ's door either.......I wonder why....???....hmmmm

Park Lane doesn't look as huge as Chester and the basement isn't that big, though it is rather nice to go down Park Lane past the Aston Martin and Porsche dealers as you go to collect your new MINI and their service is excellent...

..and sadly that's the situation in Park Lane, their service is BMW in Vauxhall. I went there once I I noticed that I was told to go sit in the corner in cockney whereas the same person gave Mr City Boy 7 Series driver a firm handshake, suddenly developed a home counties accent and offered him a cappuccino!

Slightly off topic, but...

My girlfriend was driving us from North Wales to Liverpool in her saxo (bless, ) and we passed 2mills/HJ MINI. We had to wait at the lights and we were in the left hand lane. The lights changed and we crossed the junction. The right hand lane continues on for overtaking vehicles for maybe 100m or so, and I heard a noisy exhaust note from behind us. I turned to see a Toyota Corolla 1.8Tsport (light gold colour, 215bhp apparently) hooooooning it in the right hand lane. We were at about 40mph so I am guessing he was 60mph+ easy.

There were two vehicles in front of us over in the right hand lane. Corolla-man passed us and then swung over to the left to under-overtake the vehicle in front of us, then tried to under-overtake the next vehicle in front. This vehicle however, was running out of right hand lane and moved over to the left so Corolla-man had to slam on the anchors. He then overtook this car on the right crossing into the lane with oncoming traffic and barely made it past in time to pull in. All in all some of the most shocking driving I have seen. And I live in Wales! There's never a copper around when you want one eh?

We all carried on for a further 100-200m or so before Corolla-man then turned right onto a road which looked quite long and sort of back on where we had all been coming from, with a residential looking area on the left hand side. So for you guys who live around that area beware of a ****-erel driving a Corolla

I bought my mini from the Luton dealer, although small, the show room is quite nice and the staff were very friendly and very helpful. Got my car nice and quickly, and they fixed up minor bumps etc (it was 'Cherished') quickly before i bought it, i got it on time and they replaced a couple things in the interior which were a bit worn with no extra cost for me. I was very happy and would definitely go back and buy from them again!
Any one want to buy me a Cooper?! ha
