I drive a 2002 Nissan Sentra GXE and I'm thinking of getting a Mini Cooper, probably a non-"S",
I need to hear from owners how reliable this things are, I'd be coming from a car with over 121k miles and no problems even though I constantly beat on it, and I depend on this car to turn on every morning and not leave me on the side of the road.

Also, I love me some wide rubber, do these sizes rub??:
205/55-R15
225/50-R15
215/45-R16
225/45-R16
215/40-R17

A rotten exhaust and a seized rear caliper in my year of ownership which could of happened to any make/model of car. It starts everytime and never fails to make me grin

I just ordered my fifth MINI, no problems with any of them.

My subframe fell off, it dropped oil, the speedo didn't work correctly, the sils were rusted through, and it burnt oil. But that was 20 years ago on my British Leyland Mini!!!!

I shall be doing over 40k in my new mini this year, so hope mines ok!!!

Right on, April!!!

No trouble with any of the 3 MINIs I've owned other than a mouse chewing through some wiring.
