April - I agree with what you say, trouble was a slight over reaction. Thanks,

Mikey I'm sorry that you feel I singled you out. Your product announcement posts were redirected from the public forums to your vendor forum just like those for other vendors. I implemented a solution (Forum Related Product Announcements Sticky) in response to your poll which I thought would give all vendors products more exposure and make products easier to find no matter how members or guests viewed the forums.

Dealing with vendor related problems has been a nightmare these past three months, so much so that I refuse to deal with them anymore.

No one wants you to leave.

This issue will be resolved to your satisfaction.

Nothing more I can add to what everyone else has said - obviously I am as angered and upset as you all - and have relayed those thoughts personally to Mikey via texts all day.

Top guy that Mikey and we NEED him here.

Enough said.

I know the site has been going DOWN HILL for sometime with the silly politics, ott rules and regs but when somebody such as Mikey feels he has to leave things really have gone to far!

It will be sad to see Mikey go, I have used him a couple of times when I had my old MINI and would do so again if I get another one in the future, but I probably wouldn't have found him if it wasn't for this site.

MCS On order..ETA end Nov.....

one question that I may have missed the answer to somewhere along the lines

Given that the vendor sniping is being cited as the underlying instigator of the (unpopular) vendor forums and the enforcement of site rules by the mods is strict, why where the main culprits of the sniping not warned and subsequently bannedb leaving the established 100% decent vendors like Mikey to carry on the good work they put into both the community and vendor side?

That's far too simple a solution!

Really sorry to hear this Mikey No not I'm not a lifetime member, but hacked off all the same I must admit I haven't been posting on here too much recently, just not quite the same. Been on Pauls new baby, NF500.com, what MINI2.com was (apart from its Fiat 500s not Minis!) . No, I'm not saying that this forum is awful - Far from it, still very helpful/useful. Just hasn't got the edge it used to have, the communal atmosphere - I can only liken it to a close-knit family.

PS Mikey, When I get my pay-cheque, I'm now more inclined than ever to get the R56 Chequered side repeaters. My order will be on its way soon Take care, Ollie.

Because they were very big vendors and they pay the bills. Nice to see 1320 at least acknowledging their part in it

Mikey,

I’m deeply sorry to hear you’re leaving, I’ve met you twice, once on your Lake District run last year that you organised, and the second time this year at the Stafford Mini show. You’ve brought a lot of excitement to the mini community, this was proven at Stafford this year with the amount of people you had around your stand! Your Lake District weekend is well organised event bringing many people and family’s together with the same interests. I remember driving home from that event with a big smile on my face knowing I’d had a great time!!

Personally the problem on this site stems back a few years and not necessarily over the last few months where a certain person was allowed to get away with abusing other trader’s when in actual fact they weren’t perfect them selves, but to be far no one is perfected!

Mikey, you’re a legend and will be missed.

Admins/owner of Mini2 I appreciate its not always easy to maintain a well established forum like this, but guys you need to listen and take note of what being said on this thread to bring Mini2 back to what it used to be…..

Graham
