i know i wont renew my priv membership but my tenner will buy the mods at the ball a pint from me for having the balls to stand up asses a massive issue and do something about it even though it has involved putting there own necks on the line in the usual absence of the new site owners!!!!

Well done Mods , but again here We have the unpaid moderators sorting a mess made by the money hungry faceless Owners of this site , for Me the damage is done and I will never look at MINI2.com in the same light , I for one can't see a future for this site under the ownership of a group who appear to be so arrogant ( or ignorant --there is a thin line between both ) as not to make a statement and appear to try to diffuse what was clearly a major mess up on their behalf , no they instead choose to remain firmly with head in sand and let the unpaid Mods do their work , shame on you guys , You should remember you should be trying to earn the respect of the many registered users here not try to alienate the majority , also I find it alarming that people are flocking over to Paul's Fiat 500 Forum ----- People wake up and smell the roses this is the Guy that sold out to this 'corporation ' and left all of us watch while good decent People like Mikey are 'shafted' and the unpaid Mods are left to resolve the fallout . meanwhile the 'New' owners are maximising advertising revenue at anyones expense !! If this is what things are going to be like I am afraid I can't see myself on here too often in the future , as I said before I have made some brilliant Friends here and that will not change . I admire the patience of the Mods in trying to reach a solution to this mess and I can assure you I would not have been so tolerant and would have left the New owners to sort the mess that they created , well done again for your efforts

Well, where do I start
I'M HERE & STAYING (subject to the mods not getting overuled by 'the corperation')

I would like to say a huge thanks to all the mods - I don't know who all of you are but names that come to mind - AprilWhine, Shamster, Daflake, Soggy, AidenL, Robot (MiniAC). What you have done in working to resolve this is great & shows how much you care about this community. Especially when you seem to have been left without any guidance from above

Also thanks to all who have posted on here & also called, text'd & paged me over the last few days. Many of you total strangers

I hope this site will come out of this a better place (especially if the owners give some form of signal) the mods have shown how much they care by going out on a limb, the community cares for each other so lets have a
GROUP HUG & get this site back to the way it was

When I started the thread I didnt intend it to do damage to the site - I love this place - in fact a few years ago the wife became suspicious I had a lady friend here as I spent more time here than with her. I would like to think my thread urging guests to join up shows that I care for the site.

MINIAC - sorry for naming you, you had moved my posts but I realise now you were just following rules in your normal efficient way

I would also like to offer to once again to sponsor the Mini2 Charity Ball & hope to buy as many of you as possible a drink

Great news and glad things have been sorted out (pending the owners don't go mad).

However, as G said, it shouldn't be up the unpaid moderators to sort out these issues. AutoForums are the ones getting paid out of this site and it should be they who do the sorting out. I can't however agree with some of the criticism aimed at Paul for 'selling out'. Paul obviously has his reasons for selling the site on - perhaps the fact a second child was on the way meant he couldn't devote as much time to the site, maybe he wants to move onto new things (like Trained Monkeys) - I don't know, I'm just guessing. For whatever reason, Paul has put huge effort into this site over the years, and I personally don't blame him for getting some payback out it.
