As I said when you first posted about the changes to the site, I wont bother to repeat it as its not worth my time or effort.
What I will say is this.
MINI2 has now become a formulaic website run by what is or will be a faceless corporation which is dedicated to making money not the people who contribute and love it for what it is... or was
Ever since Global Domination of Car Forums.Com took over its gone increasingly down the tubes and I'm not feeling too much need to be here as I once did.
Whatever you end up doing Mike, I certainly valued your input and the work you did, as for other sponsors, well some I have supported and others not. I wish you well and will continue to put business yor way either directly or indirectly (I have a lot of contacts )
I sincerely hope that the current owners take on board what is being said in this and other posts and make changes before its too late. If they dont then the place will go to hell in hand cart, and it won't be powered by a 1.6 JCW 212 bhp motor.
Good luck Mike and everyone else.
Oh and don't get miffed about overzealous anal mods, there are some good ones around still

Mikey, hope you dont have to go. One of the main reasons I joined this site was to keep on top of all the latest add-ons and mods for my car. Without this the site will be very quiet and lacking in info. Plus we will not be able to enjoy our Mini-ing to its full potential
Chili Red R56 Cooper
aero kit side repeaters, ITG panel filter, Eagle F1 GSD3's, Silver vision bulbs and soon to have a cat back exhaust and chip

Why do the new owners not listen to one of the most valued members of this forum??
Mikey, sad to hear about your treatment. I agree, pushing out one of the most knowledgeable people in MINI will have a massive NEGATIVE effect on this forum.
Good luck if you do go Mikey.

Mikeythemini and MINIAC are both founders of MINI2 and very important to the continuing operation. Anyone doubting MINIAC's contributions only has to click the FAQ tab, that is almost entirely his work. And Mikey is the ICE legend, we used to joke that the real name of the ICE forum was "ask Mikey."
There has to be a solution to this that satisfies everyone, this forum can't afford to lose either Mikey or Ron.

Im with you on this one! Very sad news in the MINI2 world!
Why did you have to go and change the way things work new so called 'owners' of MINI2 It seemed to me it was working perfectly well before you came along and messed it all up Would it not be better to listen to the majority of regular members and sponsors who use the forums ni on everyday?!
Sad to see you go Mikey! I'll definatly still support you and NewMiniStuff in the future no doubt about it, i'll get me a bluetooth kit yet! Just let us know the link to where you go next and we'll be there!
I only hoped things would change for the better and that you new owners would encourage sponsors not drive them away Shame on you!!

This is totally unacceptible in this forum and of this day and age! We have a general forum so people from all walks of life and businesses can post information about products on what people may be looking for or have requested.
I cant believe that the old chestnut of "other tuners" complaining is bringing this on! They have the same right to do the exact same and advertise there products and help users! The fact that newministuff.com contributes to the forum in sponsorship should be all the more reason to keep this renenue avenue open and support it.
I also have bought and sought advice from mikey a few occasions previously and have nothing but thanks and praise for him.
I am sadend and angry that this has occurred and to me this shows what a bearucratic regime has taken over this site!
I have to say, if you loose one member, YOUR GOING TO LOOSE A WHOLE LOT MORE!!!!

This just isn't the way is SHOULD be... HUGE sad face here from Denmark - Mikey' you have been a HUGE support in the "to me" new world of the wonderfull MINI. !
Many many thanks for your messages - I am touched
I don't want to go, but we have just been through the toughest 3 months in the history of the company & so spending has to be justified. I cant justify paying this site to then be restricted so much in what I post.
Don't get me wrong, I love the comunity we have got here & I have made so many great friends regardless of them being customers or not. I will stick around for runs etc so I will see you out & about.
Sorry if I have singled out 1 person - I know he works hard on the FAQ's & I suppose he is 'doing his job' but there appears to be no point of contact, so there have been no negotiations, just a sudden rule change which I questioned & put up a poll about it http://www.mini2.com/forum/general-d...e-respond.html
I thought it would create discussion but the same rule was repeated over & over
Feeling quite emotional at the moment as this place has been huge for me since 2002 - going to go to the pub & get iresponsibly drunk
xx
