As I see it it was paid to help the upkeep of the site, now they owners are making money why should I pay for them!

I'd rather it was paid as extra entry money for Mikey's lakes tour!

Get them details out!

Good news Mikey's staying

Scrogg has got a very good point, the mods and people volunteering their time FOC to aid the community do a fantastic job but AF are profiting from their hard work.

There's plenty of very successful forums out there run by members for the members these sites prove you do'nt need a corperate side to do anything, it can be done without lining someone elses pocket through hard working volunteers.

YAY to Mikey staying

I'm glad to see that we're a society run by democracy and not dictatorship. Thanks to the Mods for coming up with a solution, and I'd actually like to say thanks to AutoForums (controversial as that may be) for supporting the Mod's decisions. I think it would have been nice if they'd got involved a bit sooner and hope that whatever they were spending their time on is worth it. Bring on the bells & whistles!

Yup - it seems that this has been a great clear the air moment !!

Mikey is staying, Mods are responsible for running the site and ae able to make fundamental decisions if needed and AF are not quite the big corporation we may have believed!

If this is what things are going to be like I am afraid I can't see myself on here too often in the future , as I said before I have made some brilliant Friends here and that will not change . I admire the patience of the Mods in trying to reach a solution to this mess and I can assure you I would not have been so tolerant and would have left the New owners to sort the mess that they created , well done again for your efforts

Does anyone else feel that they are in an early episode of "Lost".

The others, the hatch, the Corporation.........

This sort of feels resolved.

I am waiting for the next episode. The Lakes!

I might go and order something from Mikey to celebrate.

Now where's that thread!

I know what you mean.

Welcome back Mikey, have to buy some clear rear lights and Ipod connector to celebrate his return.

I'M HERE & STAYING (subject to the mods not getting overuled by 'the corperation')

I would like to say a huge thanks to all the mods - I don't know who all of you are but names that come to mind - AprilWhine, Shamster, Daflake, Soggy, AidenL, Robot (MiniAC). What you have done in working to resolve this is great & shows how much you care about this community. Especially when you seem to have been left without any guidance from above

Also thanks to all who have posted on here & also called, text'd & paged me over the last few days. Many of you total strangers

I hope this site will come out of this a better place (especially if the owners give some form of signal) the mods have shown how much they care by going out on a limb, the community cares for each other so lets have a
GROUP HUG & get this site back to the way it was

When I started the thread I didnt intend it to do damage to the site - I love this place - in fact a few years ago the wife became suspicious I had a lady friend here as I spent more time here than with her. I would like to think my thread urging guests to join up shows that I care for the site.

MINIAC - sorry for naming you, you had moved my posts but I realise now you were just following rules in your normal efficient way

I would also like to offer to once again to sponsor the Mini2 Charity Ball & hope to buy as many of you as possible a drink

Can't think of much else to say besides once again THANKS
Hugs & Kisses Mikey

'Management/moderator' buy out anyone

Woohoo - what great news - and it will be great to have you back at the Ball again Mikey.

Talking of which - it would also be great if everyone who has offered their support here also offered their support for the Ball by signing up - you are more than welcome.

And I'm sure that Mikey will have some excellent deals around on the night too - as well as the opportunity for those of you who haven't met him to find out this is a guy with a genuine passion for the MINI.

And have a drink or two - and pizzas at 4.00am

It seems I unsubscribed myself from Mini2.com because I havent used paypal in ages and my card details have changed as of yesterday, failing to see the benefit's of paying it currently. Appart from supporting the Forum.
