Offline | I haven't bought anything from Mike, but I do remember him sending me an email and posting a few replies to my questions I had on my ipod connector....and it was much appreciated. If Mike goes, I go..... Then again we could all stop using this site for a few days. |

| Keeping The Top Off! | However, it is not just Mike but those that will follow. The atmosphere has changed here recently, and I think that is what will drive people away. I have to say I visit here a lot less than I used to. OH MY OH MY! I own a Sidewalk!Almost......... |

| Team VaVaVoom 2008 | How many people are posting in this thread? There are thousands of people on here. Like i say we are all numbers and a small group of people boycotting a site for a few days won't have any effect at all ![]() It would be like a small group of Manchester United supporters not happy with prices of burgers not going to Old Trafford. No real effect? lol ![]() 330 BHP + 0-60 in 4.3 Seconds = ![]() ![]() ![]() 2008 Elf Renaultsport Clio Cup Team - I'm looking for sponsors, pm me if interested ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | But in reality this isnt a business, this is a community that happens to have become profitable. And if the community isnt benefiting from this then questions should be asked. And if this place is becoming company over community then I'm sure a few more people will be off too! |

Offline | New to this forum and have never bought anything from Mikey but from reading through the posts you can tell that he is one of the cornerstones of the forum! Forums are for the users, the people that own the cars and contribute! I think this is disgusting behaviour but unfortunately these moderator machines will ony learn if the profits drop!! Don't they understand that despite adding value (and money to line their pockets) without people like mikey these forums become ghost towns!! Remeber moderators, No one likes a Bully!!!!! (and where has been your responses??) |

Offline | Mikey! 'Tis a great shame to see you go! Your presence on this forum was quite obvious when I 1st joined up and it's just grown in leaps and bounds. Was nice to meet you at Bingley this year, hope this doesn't affect your business too much! Although I'm sure the odd Veyron install will cover any extra costs incurred ![]() |

| MINI2 Newbie | Sorry to hear... Mike that is such sad news. Surely people like you, who have helped create, shape and grow MINI2 should be far more appreciated. What is the point of bureaucracy on a social networking site? Have people gone mad? Are people drunk on power? |

| You are number 6 | Whenever anyone posts to say that they are leaving MINI2 I usually resist the urge to respond. Ever since I joined MINI2 I have been seeing posts saying the site is going downhill, usually after any change to the layout or to the rules, however small. Despite all these posts the site has gone from strength to strength which is why Paul was able to sell it. I sympathise with Mikey and like most I appreciate his input but have to agree with KostaLot about the likely outcome of Mikey leaving. It is unusual to see moderators making their views known in public rather than behind closed doors in the mods forum so the new owners should understand that there is some serious objection in the MINI2 community to the new rules. It needs to be acknowledged that the owners of the site can make whatever rules they want and if we the members don't like it then we can leave. Over the years hundreds of members have stopped posting on MINI2 but their place has been taken by newer members who don't remember the good old days, they only know the site as it is. There is a whole Australian MINI community that no longer posts on MINI2 due to some overzealous moderating and dummy spitting by users in the past and yet the Australian forum still continues it is just the users and the topics that have changed. No Greenie1 I'm not saying It is always worth while trying to get mistakes rectified, I am just saying that if the situation doesn't change and if Mikey and all of his supporters leave the site then in a few months time MINI2 will be as strong as ever albeit with a different set of users. I may not have always agreed with Paul Mullet but at least he took the time to respond to complaints, let's hope that the new owners will do the same in the next day or so. | MINI2 Regular | i must admit i have seen this "Corporate" side of MINI2, its a shame for sure. A forum like this (be it car, or otherwise) is here to be a tool for like minded people to share and gather what has become a very usefull knowledge base. Unfortunatly some people/groups are just in it for the money and lose sight of the actual reason for the forum to be there. Its not just car forums though, it happens all over the world in business etc. Its a sad fact of the world we live in. Yes it's a shame people are driven out, but to every cloud there is a silver lining.... |
