Offline | umm, the site is australian, so i'm assuming all of those are aussie market cars. the australian/euro vs. american markets are very different. many (majority?) of the cars sold in europe aren't available here, in some cases they'll just have a different name. and then within the brands you'll get different ranges; audi's here stop at a4, whereas in europe you'll get a3 and a2 as well. some cars like opel (vauxhall in uk?) will sometimes show up here as pontiacs. the mercury cougar is a ford in europe, nissan's model ranges seem to be almost completely different, etc. and on the other hand american cars are rare in europe (at least in sweden). only recently they started to sell chryslers there (before i left 4 years ago), but i don't think they get dodge or plymouth. and you won't get the american fords; fords are much more interesting in europe, imho. when i left you didn't see the up-market american versions of japanese cars (acura, infiniti, lexus) but i understand they're starting to show up now. sorry if this was off topic and not-exactly-news. spend some time checking car company intl sites, it'll provide hours of fun. ![]() cooper s '05 x brg/white/chrome, cordoba/anthracite/chrome, flik wasp 17x7 x delivered july 26th 2005 cooper '02 replaced x brg/white, R83 white, chrome, cordoba x built june 21st, arrived july 15th on the traviata, delivered july 26th 2002 |

Offline | Well no one is getting a Plymouth anymore, and I would have loved a Plymouth Prowler... Now are you saying that Ford markets more interesting cars in Europe or that the lack of Fords somehow makes them exotic? I just never realised just how vast the differance in cars marketed in U.S. (Canada?) vs. Europe vs. Australia. |
