I know I'm a little late to join this thread, but just read it and panicked! I've always thought the mirrors looked easy to nick and after my car was broken into on Christmas eve I'm even more worried.

Can anyone tell me bit about the anti-theft kit? Was thinking of sticking something over the bolts to hide them, but I guess they would just rip them off and cause further damage.

I have the power fold mirror option on my new coupe. Once the mirros are folded in the retaining bolts are really noticeable so I just painted them black (hammerite) to match the rest of the mirror housing.

Like all minis, my bolts are starting to look a little untidy. I was also planning to paint them black to tidy them up and keep hem out of sight. .

It may not stop them, but shiney easy to get to bolts are just asking for trouble!
