So the other day I found a mains plug on a short cable hanging off my door mirror! I looked around the car but it seemed fine so didn't give it a second thought... it was probably some kids heading home from school and the plug was rubber and the wrong way round to have caused any damage.

Anyway, had the car washed before and there's a dent on the bonnet about 3CMs across. The paint's scratched around it as well. I've only had the car since Dec' 28th 07

If anyone knows of a company that can sort it in the Manchester area I'd be greatful

I know how you feel, washed my mini last week and found a dent in the door from some ignorant person who opened their door against my mini (my suspect is a 3 series coupe

)

I'm taking mine to the dealer to get fixed, they usually contract out, so maybe you can find out who they use and save some £££s.

It shouldn't be too much of a problem. There are several franchised outfits that will come to your home and very cleverly massage out the offending dent with a range of special tools and a lot of skill. The prices are very reasonable too, considering the alternatives.

Have a look in your yellow pages. The ones I used last down here in the West Country were called "Dentmaster" but they will come under various names depending on the Franchiser.

I used a company called Dent Vanish when my Mini got damaged in a car park. They came from Liverpool over to Huddersfield so would probably do Manchester as well. They removed about 5 dents on mine inc a nasty looking crease for £100. I can't tell they were ever there now. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link on here so pm me if you want more details.

You should be able to get the dent taken out for £30, then use a bit of colour magic to blend out the scratches?
