am collecting my first mini on Saturday! It's not exactly top of the range (mini one, pepper pack) But am soo excited.

How many times is that now? 3? 4? :-) I've (somehow) managed to resist so far - helped by the fact that the dealer never offered to show me even though I've been in touch several times since it came in. I do drive past the back of the dealership twice daily so have tried to peer through the hedge from the road but, alas, no glimpses of anything yellow in the car park - they must be hiding it from me!

Thats the 3rd time Will probably see it again when I go over on friday

They should let you see it before collection day, so you can check its all ok

I've seen my new Cooper S in the dealership. I sat in it and started the engine. It is absolutely fantastic. Delivery is confirmed for 9am on the 1st. I can't wait!

Just been to the DVLA today to get the LHD GP registered all being well it should be on the road on an 08 plate early next week.

It has been on my drive for 5 weeks and the only time I have driven it is to get it the trailer in Sweden, off the trailer in UK.
However I did get a few miles on the clock when I took it to Sytner in Ascot to get the work done for the mutual recognition certificate. It felt very strange driving a car on the road without registration plates - lots of strange looks from motorists and pedestrians.

Car now has 22 miles on the clock.

As I am in Italy from Monday night to Thursday morning it's first run will be to ACE cafe on Thursday night and it's second outing will be to Top Gear run on Saturday where it will probably be the car with the least miles on it.
