| MINI2 Newbie | TIRE Slashing RANT OK so to be Honest i havent got my MINI yet but still think of these forums as home since ive been getting alot of information from here over the past few months. Anyway back to the story, Im meant to be going to a university open day tomorow approx 140 miles away (luton) where i live, and was planning on enjoying what was to be my last road trip in the Punto before i get my MINI, so spent a large part of today cleaning the car and getting her ready for the trip. But tonight after dinner i was about to take a trip to Sainsburys to buy some goodies for the journey when i noticed that both my front tires had been slashed and were now fully deflated. To top it all of though the little ASBO's had left a HAHA note on my windscreen. Im past the point of being annoyed but still feel the need to rant, i mean what is society coming to as people find time to go around doing stupid things like this and leaving notes, seriously when i was a kid, (a few years ago) we never did any stupid things like this. AARGH Bl**dy Hell! to top it all off ive now got to pay for two new Tires!!! |

| MINI2 Regular | i never have understood what posses them to do this sort of thing. only last week my car was key'd all the way round, luckily i managed to find out who did it, his face soon changed when the £1600 paint bill landed on his table. anyway mate i feel for you as i know how an unexpected expense feels, hope it doesnt cost too much for the tyres, hopefully on this occasion they are not runflats! | MINI2 Newbie | Nah sorry i should have made it obvious that the tires were slashed before i could make the trip to Sainsburys's, whilst the car was sitting in my driveway. But i should point out that the driveway is about a 200m long stretch which some people use as a shortcut between two different streets and since we are the only house along this drive we have some damage done to our cars and front wall before, to which police have said nothing can really be done unless we install security cameras. So that is our next step (Proper protection for the MINI). |
