I will also talk to the folk from AutoForums about bringing the front page back to life, the old live forum feed was very popular, and something similar, I think, should come back in its place.

Nice one Paul. Seeing that Clubman sales article and those horrid Google adds, (worse if viewing in Black), has been really depressing. Has only added to the feeling the site was past it's best in some people. Great to see it back

Not sure about the "live" aspect of that feed. I know you mentioned it put a lot of strain on the server, and understanding how AJAX works I can't say I'm surprised.

However, I'm sure you could get away with a "Recent Topics" list which could present a set of recently popular threads.

Can the RSS feed be fixed sometime as well please? It gives a 404 at the moment and it's so much easier to keep track of what's going on in my feed reader!
