Just bought the first Mini and its not got an alarm. Any suggestions on the best combination of security and price

Check out "mikeythemini's" website.

(NewMINIStuff.com)

You can get systems for the MINI that upgrade the original system to THATCHAM 1 and they can also work off your original key remote (no need for loads of fobs

).
