Offline | Option List - How Much Have You Spent On Yours? Well, ok this is intended to find out how much you or the initial owner who had your car spent on factory options from BMW. This is not a thread for those who have modded their car aftermarket Id just like to see, personally, and im sure there are others too who would like to know how much people at the point of purchasing a BMW mini are spending in general on factory options mine are here opt1 on Flickr - Photo Sharing! and opt2 on Flickr - Photo Sharing! 14,640.00 Car List Price 5,715.00 BMW Options 9,021.63 JCW bits 30,713.63 Total Thought this as im thinking of selling up and going to the dealer to see how much they'd offer to take it from me. Its the price of two new mini cooper s's for gawd's sake!!!! I like mini's but when the price is over £20k let alone £30k!! you should start to get your head checked lol m o n k e y : n u t s |

Offline | I'm at about £7,700 worth of options, inflating a £16K Cooper S up to about £23,700 ish. Thing is, I genuinely feel that all of these are worth having and worth the money. There's nothing here I've "thrown at it" just for the sake of it, if I had to lose anything I'd be hard pressed to choose as I really do want all of these things. Some of these items are standard as this is copied from the configurator once I'd specced it up on line. Here you go: Astro Black Sports Suspension Multifunction for S/Wheel Remote Control Alarm Heated Mirrors/Washerjets Roof In Body Colour Mirror Caps In BodyColour Panoramic Glass Sunroof Front Centre Arm Rest Sports Seats Front Seat Heating Colour Line Dark Grey Anthracite Roof Lining Additional Decor Rings Interior Trim Piano Black Sport Button Rain Sensor & Lights On Pass Airbag Deactivation Car Jack DAB Digital Radio 6 Disc CD Changer Radio BOOST CD HiFi Speaker System Bluetooth phone kit with USB Audio White Indicator Lenses John Cooper Works Aerodynamic Bodykit Chrome-Line Interior Dynamic Stability Control Limited slip differential CHILI Pack Lea Punch Carbon Black Sport Leather Steer Wheel 17" Web Spoke Alloys Floor Mats Pass. Offline | Hi, Just going through my "Mini" file as renewing insurance/tax. Original owner paid.. £24,425, that's for an 05 BRG/Blk with basically every option except JCW stuff or Recaro's. Came with both Cd changer and iPod as he "couldn't decide which one I'd use more" I acquired the vehicle at just over 2 yrs old, 12k on the clock for aprox 60% of the purchase price - that's quite steep depreciation for a Mini.......I'm happy though! It is scary how much these little cars can add up to ![]() |

Offline | A One D... Ok mine would have been as follows. I Think its right. I've taken some of the options prices from the convertible configurator, as I don't have the original invoice. MINI ONE D 1.4 4cyl 8v: £12,225 Astro Black: £280 Sports seats front: £210 Cooper S s/wheel: £120 Cloth / leather octagon black: £450 Pepper pack: £765 TLC: £150 Remote control alarm: £200 ASC+T: £110 Darkened Glass: £100 Harmon / Kardon: £370 17" Polished R99's: £1,450 Zip roof decal: £115 Total from factory: £16,545 (£4,320 of which are options) I am glad that I didn't have to foot the bill of the original car, as I only paid £13,500 for it at 5months old. So the woman who owned it before me for a mere 5,800 miles lost £3,045 in depreciation. Which to me seems quite a lot! ![]() Then fitted by the dealer at my request (all prices inc. painting and fitting where necessary). Aerodynamic kit (painted): £1030 Aero Spoiler (painted): £135 Spot lamps: £250 Body colour mirror caps: £140 Clear repeater lenses: £20 A further total of £1,575 worth of dealer fit options. New total of car is therefore: £18,120 of which includes £5,895 worth of options. Making it one very expensive diesel Last edited by R99 : Mar 4th, 2008 at 01:08 PM. Reason: spelling |

Offline | Not sure yet TomSex ![]() The new Focus ST looks appealing having already been tempted by the older version - wont be in a position to change til later in the year i think The mini's are great cars but i just dont think the options are worth it - sure they are needed but to pay way above the odds to have them dealer fitted and then come to sell those options mean very little. Im just glad i bought 2nd hand! Surely its the only car in its class ie supermini where you can spend more than the car itself in options ? Love minis but when your in the Mini/Porsche Boxster/Audi TT territory i know what comes 3rd place ![]() m o n k e y : n u t s |

Offline | The Focus ST (the older one) was in my list when I was looking a month ago. I test drove it. Wonderful machines but it's far too big for me! (and it's only a focus with a big engine in it, nothing special) I think the size of it would of ****ed me off in the end and all I wanted was a pocket rocket which the MINI is! I may go Focus ST or something else next time. Having the oppertunity to purchase a brand spanking new Cooper S with all the JCW stuff, it was too tempted in comparison to the Focus ST. The only other thing that put me off was the pre-reg Orange ST I could of got 2 weeks ago was well over priced in comparison to other dealers (knowing the new ST was coming out). |
