Hi all,

Can someone give me the break down on R** numbers, with regards number plates.

For instance, I have a 2005 mini cooper chill, on a 55 plate. What is its model number?

Here you go heres the info your after.

You have a facelift R50.

R50 - 2001-2006 Ones and Coopers (Facelift models were 2004 onwards)
R53 - 2001-2006 Cooper S's (Facelift models were 2004 onwards)
R52 - 2004-2008 Convertible (any model)
R56 - 2006 onwards Ones, Coopers and Cooper S's
R55 - 2007 onwards Clubman (Coopers and Cooper S's)
