Offline | I love tax me, the way you work really hard for your money then someone nicks it off you and doesnt use it apart from lining their pockets ![]() Nicely found though AntFr, lots of trawling required there! I still wont be getting rid though, it would have to be around a £1000 before i would say no way! |

Offline | You can't be serious. Plus petrol up 11p per gallon which wasnt meant to be coming in for another 6months, tho it went 2p a litre in the last 2 days. That was a slippy move. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Offline | I just worked that out after reading about it in the CooperD VAT thread. Pretty shocking really. I was worried when it went up to £200 and was just under the proposed £400 for "gas guzzlers" but this is still quite a shock. Not wanting to sound smug I bailed out and got a Cooper Clubman protecting my pockets was first in the que *** the enviroment. |

Offline | <puts on flame proof vest and gets out troll poking stick> I think it's a good thing. We need something to encourage car manufacturers and consumers to move to lower emission cars. Also, just sold 2002 MCS and got a Clubman Cooper S, means my road tax goes from £210 to £35 ![]() |

Offline | This whole green thing is a load of crap. Its just evolution, green house gases are just a small contribution to it. They have to cut down rain forests to grow soy to produce Bio fuel. Yet tree's obsorb the most CO2 and its been scentifical proven that cutting down rain forests to grow soy for biofuel is actually worse for the environment then just using fossil fuels. I do understand we are running out of Fossil fuels and we need an alternative. Its just a reason to bleed us dry. |

| Countdown Queen! | Well its all great to encourage people to move to lower emission cars, but if I sell my car to get a lower emission car, someone else will buy it and so it will still be on the road!! So where is the logic! I can understand encouraging car manufacturers to change the new cars but there is not a lot you can do to existing cars!! ![]() |

Offline | The UK is turning into a joke.. The price we pay for goods and services is so far beyond anywhere else and each time it goes up we actually seem to get less in return.. Imagine trying to get away with the London tube prices in New York - you'd have a civil uprising in about 10 minutes flat!! I'm already making plans to leave after 12 years here - new location Berlin and it can't happen soon enough. In the meantime the S will not be sold and I hope Porsche win the congestion zone court case. Cheers, Geoff. |
