I was on my way home from work last night thinking life was great, blue sky, summer comming soon and Mini lookng well. Until I was sitting in traffic with the window down, when a 15yr spotty faced chav heckled me (hurled abuse). I can't repeat what he said, but it was why driving a car like a MINI and a ******. Like a man, I did the manly thing......... put up the window and turned up the stereo.

I was annoyed at the time but I saw the funny side to it, due to the type of person it came from. I put it down to jealousy.

Stupid people! it is funny when they hurl abuse at you when they are normally drive an old car with a massive bodykit and some decals that add 25bhp you know.

I have gotten this before but because of two reasons, yellow and a Mini.

When I just bought my Cooper a guy in a new 5 series pulled up, put down his Window and said, 'Nice car what happened to the rest of it' then sped off

lol, my mate has a classic, has so much grip, unbelievable, the new minis are good, but cant compare to it, he can go round a roundabout and go up the gears lol,

I used to get more comments when I had longer hair. I dont anymore though because i would mount the footpath and mow them down without hesitation!!!

Sadly an all too common incident, an everyday feature of dumbed down Britain today.......no doubt proud of his ignorance and yobbish manners and one of the reasons why so many of us who have seen the decline are ready to leave this island once respected worldwide for it's polite, ordered, intelligent, well mannered people !

My car has Mikey's web address on both of the rear side windows (newministuff.com) and for some reason it acts as a magnet for chavs. They always want to race my car.

Its a shame that nasty people like that are allowed to walk the streets. Yet another depressing element of the rapid decline of respect in the UK. I rather dislike people like that.

Sorry this happened to you! But I agree with the others: it was pure envy. I've only had my MINI since December, and I've lost count of the number of people who've said they want my car. Old, young, doesn't matter.

Most recently, it was a couple of teenagers working a fast food drive-thru at lunch: I went to hand the guy my money and was greeted with a "that car is smoooooth!" Then had to field a bunch of eager questions before driving off
