Offline | Thursday 13th 4.30 pm I, Jo and Ian were involved in an accident. The traffic in the outside lane of the M66 slowed unexpectidly and I was not able to stop in time. The air bags deployed and the front of the car was impacted. All involved suffered only minor bruising and wiplash.Im sure you can understad that we are all shocked and shaken. Those who knew we were going on a trip thank you for your comforting words and text. Ian and Jo will post photos |

Offline | This is the only pic I have of Bini, view from the window of the tow truck. ![]() I was sat in the back so managed to get a bruised left knee and left shoulder from the seat belt, a bruised hand from grabbing the seat and a bruised right hip from the seat belt tensioner, and the inevitable whiplash. Bini did her job though, kept us all in place and the airbags went off, which I found to be the scariest thing when the car filled with white 'smoke' from them. Lots of hugs at the roadside. Greater Manchester Police were really good, as were MINI Assist getting the car picked up and us back to the hotel for the night. Bit shaken by it all, but the main thing is we are all ok, and Bini can be fixed. |

| KitKat | thanks everyone. yeah we are all ok, just a bit shaken up and like Wiz says, a few minor bruises and whiplash. just feeling a bit stiff and achey today - there was nothing that Wiz could have done to avoid it, it was just one of those things unfortunately. just sorry to see Bini looking a bit squashed ![]() MINI emergency services were great (apart from the Enterprise side of it!), as were Greater Manchester police, the Highway patrol and also the recovery truck driver - all or their response times were brilliant and they helped keep our spirits up, so thank you to them all ![]() |

Offline | The car was relayed directly to the MINI dealer near me.They looked at it yesterday and have said its repairable, have not had the final lising but do know that they will be sorting out the paperwork on Monday so hopefuly repairs can start then. Because of all the IJ fundraising I desperatly need the car looking good as new by the 3rd April. With the BH long weekend I am hoping for some luck to get it all sorted in time. So,as Jo has said everyone who helped us that night was great and I am just greatful we are all OK |

Offline | It's good that everyone is ok, that's the main thing! It's awful when you have an accident, especially when the air bags deploy - the smokiness is terrifying! Atleast your car is fixable ![]() Some piccies of my crash - was on the M55 last year early morning when it waschucking it down. Slammed my brakes, did a 360 on the motorway and managed to go up on the ebankment. Landed inbetwen two trees, with one of them stopping me from rolling back. **** me up like you would never believe!! But walked away without even a scratch.. |

Offline | fingers crossed that the damage is not as bad as first hoped, Wiz. Good news that it *is* repairable, and all being well it won't take them too long to get it sorted. Such a shame with the graphics and stuff too ![]() ![]() |
