Offline | Well I thought it was about time we had a thread for 2nd gen MINI owners who have had NO problems with their cars By recent posts you'd think the R55 and R56 are excessively problematic. But scanning through the 1st gen forums the new models seem to be somewhat more reliable, certainly no worse ![]() So if you own an R56 One/Cooper/Cooper S or R55 Clubman and haven't experienced problems, please post here. Let us know how long you've owned your car and the current mileage. Me, I've had my R56 Cooper S for just over 6 months and have about 12000 miles on the clock ![]() Global Moderator ![]() |

Offline | Absolutely no problems for my R56 S either. I got the car in early November 2007, it was a democar from the MINI rep in Gothenburg with 2700 km on the clock when I bought it. Now my R56 has enjoyed many winding roads and the clock now shows more than 8000 km (uncertain of miles, sorry). This is the best car I´ve ever had, love it to bits ![]() |

Offline | I can add a poll but what poll alternatives do you suggest? "No problems" and "Problems"? I only really want to hear from those with no problems - plus some idea of how long they've had the car and how far it's been driven. Global Moderator ![]() |

Offline | How about: 1: Perfect on delivery/collection and fault free for 2000 miles plus. 2: Perfect on delivery/collection and fault free for 10000 miles plus. 3: Minor issue on delivery/collection, fixed promptly and fault free for 2000 miles plus. 4: Minor issue on delivery/collection, fixed promptly and fault free for 10000 miles plus. 5: Major issues or ones the dealer seems unwilling/unable to fix. That would still allow detailed posts if anyone wanted to, of course. (I'd be a 3, BTW.) David |

Offline | It is good to have a problem free thread Keep the good news coming and let other threads carry any of the issues that some are unfortunately experiencing. In Italy |

Offline | How about a poll like this: For those of you with problem-free 2nd Generation New MINIs, how many enjoyable miles have you thusfar driven? That would certainly convey the sentiment you hope to achieve and give a somewhat quantitative assessment on the reliability of the 2nd Generation New MINI. ![]() All the best, Andrew. * * * * * NeuroBeaker Proud owner of "Zeus" (a 'slightly modified' 2004 Mini ONE). |

Offline | No, what I want is to see that there are problem-free 2nd gen MINIs out there. We always hear about the problems, never the successes. It was the same for 1st gen and there was a thread like this for them. And a poll is restrictive. You can only vote once and people tend to drive their MINIs or change model so they will move between mileage ranges over the course of time ![]() I'll remove these poll discussion posts later ![]() Global Moderator ![]() |

Offline | Great idea KPKalle. I have an R56 on order, and its only natural that people post primarily when they have a problem. This makes potential owners (I currently own R53), a bit concerned about the negative feedback. This thread will help restore balance. RBW P.S. Please feel free to delete this post, as I havent got my R56 yet ! But I will keep reading it. |
