Offline | Chin up Jo....don't let the buggers grind you down! Go and complain about the skirts and don't let the other party in the crash blame you. Let the insurance people sort it out. These people know who's fibbing and they will know it's not you! There is light at the end of the tunnel....... ![]() |

Offline | Aw c'mon Jo, it'll pass, the sun will start to shine (one day) and this blip will be in the past. No you're not out of line to complain about something you paid for and they fitted even though they've already had one go at it, i'd kick off a bit with the manager tho and see if they can sort out a little something for you to compensate as you've been a loyal and patient customer of theirs ![]() Meantime, smile some people never get to have the fun you have in your cars,![]() ![]() Modern Mini Mag Oscars 2008 "Spirit of MINI Ownership" nominee |

| One Life, Live It!! | Don't worry Jo, only a little rough patch - Soon be over and done with. Your luck reminds me of a month or so we had when I was about 10 - Got shunted by a lorry one week, insurance refused to pay for it (similar to you), following week courtesy car was stolen , another lump of money, then broke my ankle racing, then sister broke her arm the following day, all within the space of about 3 1/2 weeks!! Never had bad misfortune since, I'm sure you'll be the same ![]() |

Offline | Just have to say to yourself that life could be alot worse and the only way to avoid mishaps is to never go out or do anything. I dont understand what it is with dealers these days, I'm positive that saff are not trained properly and obviously don't care a hoot looking after customers cars. In saying said that in the past 18 months having dealt with Peugeot, their aftersales was disgraceful, damaged my 207CC 3 times when it was in for a service and warranty work. My current Corsa VXR luckily has been problem free, but even when I collected it from new the dealer presented me with a car with a cracked lower spoiler and the bumper hanging off and the salesman didn't even notice it, gobsmacked. Even though my MINI had probs my local dealer has been the best upto now in caring for the car and undertaking warranty work. If the next generation MINI is less problem free then I might come back to a MINI A good dealer are worth their weight. Corsa VXR, Flame Red, 18" Alloys, S&L Pack |

Offline | Sounds like your Annus has been pretty Horribillis dont worry it will all come good your still in one piece despite several ram raid attempts on your mode of transport. Side skirts fitting or not you still have a great looking Mini you must be due a run of good luck for all the bad you have had to deal with. |

Offline | Your very right though. When my friend went to pick up his new Yaris it was filthy, green algae forming in some areas and the tyres were almost flat. needless to say they did not take it then. They went back a week later and it was ready. Took it home and realised they hadnt MOT'd it when they said they had. Took it back once more. And then last week we decided to take the black trim off the doors to find there was a dent and two different shades of silver on the door which they obviously hid with the black trim. Anyway I hope your car gets sorted soon!!! Your luck will change soon enough dont worry! ![]() |
