Unhappy When is my bad luck going to end?!

It all started off really the day I picked up my car (1st March) when the iPod interface refused to work during the handover The car was promptly taken to the workshop, and in the end the whole unit had to be replaced, which was done in just over an hour. In the meantime I was given a Cooper S Clubman as my insurance had ended on the old car.

Next day while washing my alloys I noticed that the passengers side skirt grille was not fitted correctly and moved about. I couldnt clip in back in and so after letting the salesman look the car was booked in to be fixed along with the loose cable from where they'd replaced the iPod thing

Last Thursday Wiz, Ian and myself were involved in an accident on the motorway in Wiz's Convertible, which resulted in us getting whiplash and some bruising, from which I only really started to feel better on Wednesday this week

Yesterday my new car went in to have the side skirt problem fixed and I was given a Cooper D Clubman as a courtesy car. On the way back to the dealership yesterday afternoon the car was hit as I was trying to turn off a roundabout. All the blame is going onto me, even though the other guy came across the front of me, and basically I am going to have to pay for the damage to both cars (wont find out anymore about the whole situation until tuesday now, so I still dont really know anything)

I couldnt bare to drive my own car home so mum had to come and drive it home for me as I was too shaken, it being the 2nd accident, exactly a week from the other even to the time!! Just as I was starting to get over one I end up in another!

Today, I went out for a drive (thank you for making me go Brummie!!) and had to go and get diesel. This is only the 2nd time ive put fuel in the car, and still I had the whole click click click issue Pulled the pump out a bit which resulted in the tank over filling and diesel spilling down the side of the car Bloody thing!

Got home and decided to wash the car. Got round to the passengers side and noticed a gap at the grille end of the side skirt where it meets the car, on closer inspection I can actually pull the skirt away from the car as the 2 rear clips are broken also the grille is broken again
I hadnt had a chance to properly look at the car yesterday what with everything that had happend and when I got home it was dark and raining.
Called the dealership straight away but they were shut so ive had to leave a message on the salesmans voicemail saying that im not very happy, as the car that I took in to be fixed yesterday is actually now more broken than when it went in!! I dont expect a 3 week old car to be broken in any form!! (am I expecting too much?!) Im going over there for when they open in the morning to see what they say and tell them im not at all happy!!

Im fed up of all this bad luck now, I was so worried about parting with my perfect MINI ONE and at the moment I wish I hadnt, why cant something just go right?!

Long overdue in my opinion.

Is anyone else willing to sign a global petition to advance immediately to 2009 so she can put this unfortunate year behind her now?

I think we all go through spells like this. Only positive is they have to end sooner or later, so the longer they go on, the sooner the end must be approaching!

At least you woke up today; it could be worse.
Take a deep breath and hit the "reset" button.

Safety fast,

Thanks guys I just cant believe how things have gone lately.

Am I out of line to complain about the side skirt? The fact they had the car for 7 hours and actually made the problem worse. Is it wrong to want it perfect on such a new car?

Arnbut - I think my 'reset' button is malfunctioning at the mo

It should be totally perfect and if they wrecked it even more then they shoud fix it, with a new part at that

Not at all. It's broken and they need to fix it for you.

Your not out of line Jo, the car should be perfect and if they made it worse then they should fix it. Same thing happened to us (me brother and mum) both Coopers (R56) went in for minor stuff and came back with even more probs.

That's shocking bad luck indeed. It all seems to happen at once.
Hopefully your turn with the bad luck fairy will end today.
On a positive note, just think how great the rest of the year has to be to compensate for it!

You are not out of order for expecting your car to be fixed!! You have every right in complaining! I hope it gets fixed soon

ahhh so sorry you are having a rubbish time right now.

You are completely in the right to demand that your car is in perfect condition - its brand new!

Really hope you feel better soon, and that you can get out and enjoy driving your new car and realise it is right for you

The thing I always say.... "things will always get better" . I'd personally fight the car accident case if you really feel it wasn't your fault. I know it's going to be hassle, but why should you take the 100% fault when you know he was the person that caused the accident?

With regards to the car, I won't accept my new Cooper S when I pick it up in just over a weeks time if there's anything wrong. You will get there in the end.

It is bad luck because of the accidents and the problems with Puzzle.
