| MINI2 Newbie | HI All, Thought best introduce myself! Just got a BRG 2002 Mini Cooper on Saturday! Very much an impulse purchase as the better half has been wanting one for a while. Long story short saw this one at my local car stealer and seemed a good price, 3 hours later drove it home! Reasonable spec, chilli pack, ASC?, boost cd, half leather, manual aircon, heated seats and showing 47000 miles. Also has the extended TLC package. So far covered 300 miles over the weekend and pretty impressed! Bought blind and first one I saw, cardinal sin I know but it was a good buy! Few issues, windscreen top rubber coming away and driving late yesterday was fun as I had the dreaded droopy lights! Lights now fixed thanks to the info already found on this site, simple fix and Free!!!!!!!! List of retrofits to be done: 3 Spoke MFSW - Already sourced wheel and slip ring! Cruise OBC Headlight washers Parking Sensors Xenons Milltek Panel Filter Remap!! Oh dear I promised her I would stop playing! Look forward to seeking the answers on here and hope I will be able to contribute as soon as I do each one! Paul |

| MINI2 Newbie | Thanks all for the warm welcome! Just got a printout today from a Mini dealer and it seems like it has quite a few extras!! I originally bought it for the wife as she has always wanted one and I must admit they are something I have never really looked at before but am suitably impressed so far!! She is going ot have her work cut out to stop me pinching it! I suspect that this will be a keeper for a while, just formulating the retrofit list as we speak! Offline | Welcome to MINI2 Paul . I also live in Wiltshire and am often in the Melksham area. If you ever need tools (e.g. rear brake piston retraction tool) let me know. I have also taken my Mini apart for aftermarket stereo so ask away for advice although most of what you need is already on MINI2 FAQ.![]() Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs |
