Offline | Geez, there are so many things from performance to various gadgets that I love about this car, but ultimately I get the biggest kick out of the way it looks. The front view in particular manages to look both cool and, I'm not sure what the word should be, exuberant, maybe. I know it is a cliche by now, but it really does bring a grin to your face. |

| MINI2 Master | all of the above plus the little electronic tricks it does unlike any other car I've had. e.g:- * the dashboard lights fade up/down when turned on/off * the rear wiper speed is linked to the front * the intermittent wipers are speed-related * the high-speed front wipers slow down when you come to a halt (just like the old Minis did...) * the wipers park themselves whether you turn them off or not even if key is not in ignition * the interior lights coming on when you turn the engine off etc. etc. etc! |

Offline | Above the law. OK, I have a new favorite thing... Today I offered to give my neice a ride home. She lives on a large hill with tight, twisting roads. I've always wanted to test a MINI on this particular stretch of road. So, I start bombing up the hill, laughing at how well the little beast chews up each turn. In my rear-view mirror appears an SUV struggling to keep up. Of course this SUV has a horsepower advantage so matching speed with me isn't an issue, but I notice how it is suffering from serious body roll. Because I know the police around there use some unmarked vehicles I start to ease up. I take one, then two turns to see if I'm being tailed. He keeps on my bumper. Then, I take the final turn onto my neice's road, a cul-de-sac and voice my concern, "I hope that isn't a cop, I was at least 20 over". My neice says, "Well, he doesn't live on this street. I have never seen that car before." I pull into her driveway and get out. The SUV pulls in behind me and rolls down the window. It's an off-duty police officer. He just wanted to see the car and comment at how nice it was and how fast it could go. So, my new favorite thing is that (for the time being) it seems to have a built-in "Get Out of Jail FREE" card. PS/B MCS, bonnet stripes, everything but the satnav, 17" S-Lites |

Have you noticed how the front windows "pop" down about 1/2" when you squeeze the handle to open the door to clear the roof gutter, and then again, when you close the door it "pops" back up again to seal the window tight under the gutter ?!! Thats a pretty neat trick, and seemingly a lot of technology goes into a feature like that !!! ![]() 2006 Solar Red/Silver Cooper |

"ooooh..." and then the "awwwww..." as it gets locked and the lights go out... no mini for you. hehehe and everything else!!! love it dNb |

Offline | This question is impossible to answer Well, there are so many things that choosing one is not fair!! I'll have to say the overwhelming thing is the FUN factor--a.k.a. the GRIN factor. The driver has fun, the passengers have fun, the other drivers have fun watching us, as do pedestrians and the kids… I still cannot believe that a purchase of steel, glass, plastic, and electronics can do all this! | DRIVER | JimMINI mentioned the 1/2" pop the windows do to tuck under the weatherstripping. That has to be the most slick thing about MINIs (but is is COOL? ).Personally, the coolest thing about my MINI is the remote button to roll my windows down with. Its so fun to roll my windows down while someone is looking at my car before they know that I am the owner! ![]() |
