Offline | Newbie Here Hi Mini People! I'm off to test drive the new Mini Cooper and Clubman tomorrow and provided I can afford it I will most likely be getting one. The one thing I do not like is having to decide is what options to have... Hatch or Clubman? What Colour? Bonnet Stripes or Viper Stripes? JCW Kit or not? Zenons or no Zenons? and it goes on.... I'm not silly enough to ask the question 'what should I get?' because it is a very personal thing and that is one of the reasons why I love the Mini. But still it is both a pleasure and a pain having to decide what to have. Anyway hello to you all and I hope I come back from my local dealer tomorrow having made a decision. All the Best, David Never owned a Mini before but I may have one soon..... |

| Dales run passenger! | Hello and welcome to MINI2 ![]() Choosing between the Clubman and the hatch is a personal one - If you need the extra space or just prefer the individuality of the Clubman, then go for that - Or if you just prefer having a 2+2 and something that's a little smaller, then the hatch would suit. However, I can't dictate what you want, that would be communism - Your car, your choice - Do what you think is right - Either way, they are both great cars ![]() On colour, again that's a personal choice - There's a fairly large spectrum on both cars, always something to choose from ![]() Bonnet or Viper Stripes? That's a split opinion - Many would say one, many would say the other, however, I prefer bonnet stripes - Personal opinion, I love Viper stripes, just not for me at the mo JCW kit (assuming its the engine package?) is only available on the Cooper S and Cooper Clubman S, and again, you'd need to drive both to see what you'd like - Some people report of huge differences, some report hardly any change at all. If you mean the aero kit, then again it's personal opinion - Get two cars side by side and see what you think - Whether it be on a forecourt or on the web Xenons - A resound yes - They are expensive, however they cannot be retro-fitted and add to re-sale value as the standard lights are like candles flower pots - ie next to useless. There is a cheaper solution however - You can change the standard Halogen bulb for a more powerful bulb - I think another forum member KenL has done this, and IIRC, he was pleased with the result. Best of luck with whatever you choose, Ollie ![]() |
