Like it from the moment it was released and after test driving it I was smitten! Did the classic mini influence your purchase? No, although I have always liked the classic mini and would love to own one Is it a good thing that MINI’s are built in England? Yep! Did the MINI heritage influence your purchase? Nope Do you enjoy the whole club scene? Have only recently starting getting into all of that! What Clubs are you part off? None as of yet! Have you watched the Italian Job? Both although I prefer the original! If so did you watch it because mini/MINI where involved in the film? No, becasue of Michael Caine and then Mark Walhberg, although do love the minis in the original Would you watch a documentary about MINI’s? Yep! If so what would you like to see featured in it? Stressing the fact that the classic had to change, but not slating it as it was a good car, but I do get annoyed that there is a small section of people who thinks the new car is the spawn of the devil! Possibly, in the sense of the classic styling brought up to date Is it a good thing that MINI’s are built in England? Yes Did the MINI heritage influence your purchase? Heritage? In terms of iconic image then maybe, but not in terms of quality of construction! Do you enjoy the whole club scene? Yep What Clubs are you part off? mini2.com, obviously! And then from that join in on events mostly in the NW Have you watched the Italian Job? Only the origianal! If so did you watch it because mini/MINI where involved in the film? A little bit, but it is a classic! Would you watch a documentary about MINI’s? Yes If so what would you like to see featured in it? The history of the Mini and the MINI would both need to be featured, as one cannot be done without the other. It would also be good to explore the changeover from Rover in to BMW hands, with an exploration of both sides of the story: the manufacturers and the prospective consumers (don't know how easy that would be to cover) It would also depend heavily on what slant the documentary took: it could be solely economic looking at the manufacturing/cost side of things, or it could even be more of a social documentary looking at the impact that Mini/MINI has had on lifestyles over time There could be a whole series: 'Mini/MINI: Deconstructed'  |

Yes, and like the fact that I can visit the factory and see the truck loads of MINIs on car transporters going down the A34! Did the MINI heritage influence your purchase? Not really. Do you enjoy the whole club scene? Yes! What Clubs are you part off? MINI2 and SCNM (South Coast New MINI) Have you watched the Italian Job? Which one? 2003 Italian Job millions of times. Only seen the original once. If so did you watch it because mini/MINI where involved in the film? Yes! Love seeing the MINIs charging around the tube station! One R53a that my wife appropriated. One R56S that went back to MINI/BMW. One R56Sa that I still have. Why did you buy a MINI? There is a Global Conspiracy Against The Tall and Mini was the only sporty car that I could fit in and still get my motorbike and tools in the garage. Did the classic mini influence your purchase? Of course; who could possibly not see one and love it? Is it a good thing that MINI’s are built in England? Yes; just like America only with a funny accent. Thank you for The Rolling Stones, Fish & Chips, and Monty Python too. Did the MINI heritage influence your purchase? Not really; the companies are distict and not related. Do you enjoy the whole club scene? Usually. There are moments though. What Clubs are you part off? AtlantaMINIS and NAM. Have you watched the Italian Job? About 15 times. I have a killer home theater and play it as a background movie when Mini people are over. I also use it to demo the theater to non-Mini people. The cars look wicked-fast on a 65" screen and 7.3 surround. Vrooom. If so did you watch it because mini/MINI where involved in the film? Not the first time; it was just on the "watch this" list. Would you watch a documentary about MINI’s? Of course. But keep the production values high. Lots of LFE, low angle passes, modded cars wicking it up, outlaw runs & other Tom Foolery. If so what would you like to see featured in it? Minis and Mini folk using the cars in every manner conceiveable.
