Survey.

Heard a survey a while back stating that Yellow was the worst color to have at resale time along with gold, and also surprisingly it stated that green was quite low on the list, something like 12% of cars were green, Silver, black, white and red were higher on the list. It was not car specific and with the history of the mini and its cult status I don't think these colors are as bothersome as lets say on a porsche. I like the BRG and find it quite fetching on a MINI.

Green Cooper

My 1st post so please be gentle!!

Found this thread quite interesting as I bought a year old BRG Cooper S today and was wondering why they are so hard to find with the 'Cherished Mini' site only listing 3 for the entire country (priced between £14k and £17.5k).

I've owned 3 silver cars consequitively and got tired of the colour. My last 2 cars were metalic black which look superb but only look clean on the day you wash it. Me and the wife really wanted a BRG Cooper S with a white roof, wing mirrors and bonnet stripes. The dark metalic looks stunning with the sun shining on it, just like the Astro Black ones and the white off sets it nicely.

The colour scheme just looks right for a Mini and (knocking on 40), the link to the British Racing Green heritage just reinforces that even more to me. I'm hoping that BRG mini's round my way are not such a common car as the red and black ones. Glad to be joining an Elite club of Brg owners.

Just trying to decide what decal to put on that plain white roof that is screaming to be enhanced.

Cheers mate, you just solved our dilemma in one go!!

Me and the wife instantly wanted the retro Space Invader design as soon as we saw it. Its not so in your face as some other designs we've seen and will make all our friends smile.

Many thanks!!!

Apparently dark green is hard to see! Hence the bad luck. I had a BRG and black Gen 1 and it was the best looking car I ever owned. So I'm going to take my chances again - ordering an all BRG JCW - quietly understated with shed loads of power

Cheers, was going to email you and see if you could, as we are not too far away from you.

Me and the wife are now impatiently waiting for our private plate transfer to get sorted so we can collect the car. Soon as we get it (or get a firm date) I'll definately be in touch.

Peterborough Mini quoted us £800 to supply and fit a Union Jack!!!!

Love the idea of a retro Space Invader roof on a classic BRG coloured Cooper S ............... all my friends of my generation will love it.

I personally think that BRG looks great with either a black or white roof - depends on the effect you want to go for, but if you have a white roof, get the wheels to match. The dealers near me often have BRG minis and they never seem to hang around for long and they seem priced about the same as any other colour. Whether they pay the same for them is another matter.

Still, buy the car you want, not what someone else wants.

Hi, Newbie here, I ordered my first mini ~May 19, should have been in final assy today!
The only thing I had to think about was BRG & white roof, BRG & Black or just BRG.
I ordered an S in BRG with white roof and bonnet stripes, can't wait! Should be at dealer by the end of July!

BTW never owned a mini but my favorite car when I lived in the UK was my Maxi lol

I really dislike green on all cars, especially those with gold wheels too. Don't think I've ever seen a green car I liked!

Gold wheels look terrible on anything. I like BRG minis - they are different! I suppose everyone for their own. Thats what makes us all different!

Yeah, its a very nice colour. Not sure about that sparkling silver - a bit too beige for me! What are the colours you aren't sure of?

It really is a beautiful colour - if/when I get a new mini I am tempted to order it in BRG with a white roof.

I'm sure they would look good, however, I would really recommend a chrome exhaust tip - they are £20 from the dealer and totally transform the car. Have you considered a spoiler? I'm sure that the wing mirrors will look really good too! Best wishes with the car!
