Offline | Well almost 2 weeks early and it's here!! My brand new Dooper! What can I say? I love it already! It is LUSH. Keep finding new things on it, the beeping it does when you haven't got your seat belt on to the one touch passenger side window closer. Also very very impressed with the 'heartbeat' alarm - it looks ace!! Oooh and the shopping nets in the boot! ![]() Having owned 2 first gen MINIs I can definitely say it's different. But I really like it. It feels like a more mature car, with a bit more substance to it! Looks brill too.. Also not disappointed with the Hi-Fi upgrade, think I need to play with the settings a bit though! Here are some pictures (PW being the one I traded in) - next step is some white indicator lenses and side scuttles and possibly a Cooper S filler cap. Oh and Phil should be busy designing me some red/silver decals as we speak! ![]() Mej |

Offline | Very nice ![]() Its weird isnt it, the move from 1st gen to 2nd, the differences etc. Know what you mean about it being a bit more 'grown up' though, I certainly prefer the interior to my old MINIs ![]() Cant wait to see the decals Sure Phil will do a top job ![]() Enjoy ![]() |

Offline | That looks absolutely superb! I'm having black too, and ordered a set of chrome mirrors like yours yesterday. Interested to hear your thoughts compared to the R53, you've pretty much echoed my reasons for buying, I don't think I'd have had one if they'd not brought out the R56 (not dissing the R53, it's just that I like smooth quiet cars). Thanks for the comments about the hi fi package too, I'm pleased to hear it sounds good. Best of luck with it, it looks fab. ![]() I like 'em big... |

Offline | Very nice Dooper . AB is defo the best colour of the lot . Hope you enjoy it as long as you own it.I'll ditto the hi-fi upgrade is very good and the R56 has opened up the MINI to new customers that may not have purchased a MINI before. Certainly me! My Dad's dooper made me sway towards a Cooper S. It's comfortable, great to drive and turns heads of many people when I drive past them . |
